problem is not the atmosphere.atmosphere is much easier than the problem of mars not having an active core that can generate a magnetic field to protect the atmostphere from radiation. mars's oceans and atmosphere got depleated as a result of not having an the magnetic feild to protect it.

Wouldn’t Mars need a magnetic sphere to keep sed atmosphere and liquid water and from what I’ve heard, you need a rotating core in the planet that’s burning and as far as we know Mars’s inner core is no longer active or burning anymore So technically speaking terraforming would be impossible without creating a magnetic field to protect the planet from radiation and to prevent it from loosing its ozone layer, atmosphere and liquid water Terraforming Venus currently seems like a much better option for now, but it’s still a good hypothetical scenario for Mars

We would need to somehow make mars have 24 hr day cycle or close to that like 25 or 23 hrs.
A day on Mars is 24 hours, 30 minutes. Very similar to a day on Earth. The only difference is that a year on Mars is 2 earth years.

On wikipedia it says that mars atmosphere is already 95% Carbon dioxide so why would you add more?
Because Mars’ atmosphere is very thin. Mars’ atmosphere is 1% of Earth’s Atmosphere. We need thick atmosphere to warm up Mars.

Unless you can get Mars to generate a massive magnetic field to protect the atmosphere from the solar wind, any terraforming Mars is useless. That is the reason the original thick, warmer atmosphere of Mars went away in the first place!
Wait.. didn’t there need to be a magnetic field to sustain the atmosphere…? As far as I remember the Mars core cooled down so the magnetic field vanished and the atmosphere evaporated.
